All-American Classics (Ages 5-10)

During this session, we'll make delicious, cool & classic recipes you can take to a summer BBQ or a fun fiesta!

Frame by Frame (Ages 5-10)

Students will create short stop-motion animated films using different media including clay, paper, drawing, Lego, and themselves!  At the end of the course, all the movies will be presented to each student on a flash drive for them to keep!

Tennis (Ages 5-10)

TGA’s curriculum includes station-based tennis and fitness activities along with games that improve motor skills, agility, hand-eye coordination and over all tennis skills. The nationally recognized certified TGA coaching team brings the court to the playground and provides all of the equipment for tennis, fitness and fun! New this summer: Campers will participate in an end of session USTA Net Generation Team Challenge to showcase their new and / or improved skills!

Printmaking (Ages 7-10)

Students in this class will work on the school’s intaglio press to create multilayered prints. Learn the basics of relief printing and color mixing for inks.

Groovin’ Crafts (Ages 5-10)

Make it and Take it in this Groovin’ Arts and Crafts class! This interactive class will keep your child engaged as they create fun projects.  Their imaginations will run wild as they paste, cut, and draw bringing these projects to life! Capture that ultimate summer camp feeling as the magic unfolds in Groovin’ Crafts!

Arts Exploration (Ages 5-10)

This class will introduce a variety of materials and techniques for students to experiment with image making. It will include watercolor, charcoal drawing, stamp making, painting, and clay while using brushed, sticks, and handmade tools for mark making. Projects will include several 2-D images and one sculpture.

Woodworking (Ages 5-10)

In this class students will be making long and precise cuts, drilling their own holes and will cut and chisel their own dados and rabbits. As always students will be learning how to measure accurately and use squares to make right angles. This summer we will plan to make 2 or more small projects during each session. There will be lots of nailing, gluing, sawing, sanding and painting.

Mad Science (Ages 5-8)

Mad Science of Los Angeles conducts educational, entertaining and hands-on science, engineering and technology activities for elementary age children. Our mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere. We do this by providing them with fun, interactive and educational activities that instill a clearer understanding of science and how it affects the world around us!

Let’s make some fabulous, fashionable and beautiful jewelry! The jewelry making class will be filled with a variety of projects including making bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings and other beautiful creations.

Art Around the World (Ages 5-8)

We are going to take a trip around the world! Each day we will explore another country, more specifically, the culture’s art history and create works inspired by what we see. Students will be working with a handful of different mediums and materials as well as learn about and appreciate the cultures that have created the art we are creating!

Ceramics (Ages 5-10)

This class will teach the fundamentals of using clay to create a variety of ceramic pieces. Students will be introduced to techniques like coiling, rolling out slabs, and glazing. Projects include pitch pots, masks, cups, bowls, & beads.

Self-Portraiture (Ages 5-10)

This class will explore various concepts & art mediums to depict the self...some art will be more literal self-portraits while others will be broader, more conceptual portraits. Drawing, painting, photography & collage will be used.
