On Saturday, April 28, we will host our 12th Annual PanDerby fundraiser from 9 to noon at CCS!
This child-centered event has become a much-beloved spring fundraiser at CCS. Created in 2008 by some very creative CCS parents, the “pan” represents pancakes (now it means “breakfast”) and the “derby” calls back to the pinewood derby races that many of us enjoyed as children. Re-imagined at CCS, the “derby” is our car museum and exhibition (not a race) that highlights the creativity of the CCS student body. Unlike a traditional pinewood derby, there aren't car-creation rules - if you can think of it, you can put it on your car!
This year, we’ve added an Art Show that will showcase CCS’ incredible visual arts program by displaying children’s artwork from the entire school year! As in the past, other attractions that morning will include: delicious coffee, a dunk tank, PanDerby swag, a raffle and other fun activities.
This event raises money for the school by encouraging students to ask their friends and family to sponsor their cars (PD DONATION). Entry to the PanDerby is free – all attractions/purchases are covered by tickets (PD TICKETS).
This fun, art-centered morning encompasses the one-of-a-kind nature of CCS. Creativity and community come together for the great good!
