Life at CCS is filled with parties at this time of the year - class parties, graduation parties, staff parties, appreciation luncheons and thank you happy hours.  There's so much to celebrate and wrap-up and acknowledge and be grateful for.  The BIG party is coming next week:  THE GRADUATION SING on Thursday, June 7 at 9 a.m. (join us!).  The whole community will gather to say farewell to the school year and specifically to the matriculating 6th graders.  It's a right of passage that includes special songs (Circle Game), personalized lyrics (5th Grade song) about students and the school (6th Grade song) and lots of hugs and "see you next years".

This year, the parents of the Class of 2018 donated a MUD KITCHEN to the school that is sure to be enjoyed for years to come (thank you!).  We're proud to be sending their children off to these middle schools:

Berkeley Hall

Brentwood School

Campbell Hall

Chaminade Preparatory School

Laurel Springs

Manzanita School

Waverly School

But wherever they go, these children will always belong to the CCS community.  Most of them have spent seven years here, and we are looking forward to the stories of their continued growth as students, but we already know that they're people we're proud to represent us in the world.  Their compassion, enthusiasm and humor is clearly evident and when they decide to come back and visit their elementary school, we look forward to a warm embrace that will help us all remember the impact they had on our school and the piece of CCS they take with them into their futures.
