Each summer, students participate in workshops that allow them to get up-close and personal with their own interests. Every elective provides a special chance to engage, get curious, and dig in.

Children create their own schedules from a selection of over 50 classes so they are able to focus on the subjects that excite them the most. From Hogwarts to Hip Hop, Cooking to Coding, and Rockets to Robotics, there is truly something for everyone. 

After three classes in the morning, the camp day ends with rotating, innovative special events that all campers enjoy together. Magic shows, pizza parties, Slip N Slide fun, and other themed events round out the day at CAI.

LUNCH & SNACK

Children bring their own non-perishable lunch to camp.

DRESS

Comfortable clothing is recommended during our summer program. Children should wear tennis shoes rather than open toe sandals if they are participating in woodworking or any of the dance workshops. Remember, clothes are at risk from paints and inks, so older play clothes are best. CAI t-shirts will be given out to all campers on the first day of camp.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program provides young teens (11 – 17 years old)  the opportunity to develop skills as leaders in a creative and safe environment. The CIT’s are offered a diversity of activities which allow them to expand their abilities and broaden their horizons in preparation to becoming counselors with the Children’s Arts Institute or other camp programs.

OUR STAFF

The heart of our program is our staff, made up of professional arts educators – artists who also have experience teaching young people. The passion and expertise they bring to each workshop will spark your child’s creativity and enthusiasm. Our staff is dedicated to creating a fun, educational, and exciting summer experience for your child. 

EXTENDED CARE

Our summer program hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Children may be dropped off at 8:30 am (no earlier) with no extra charge. Extended care starts at 3:00 pm and runs until 5:00pm for a rate of $20/hr. Simply call CAI to note that you will be taking advantage of this program at CCS, and we will register you.
